OUR HISTORY

Mrs. Rod has been a prominent figure in Del Rio's dancing community since 1991 when she returned to her home town from Texas Women's University with a Bachelors of Science in Dance and began teaching at Del Rio High School. It has always been dream of Mrs. Rod to open her own dance studio so that she could share her decades of dance experience and teaching expertise to the people of Del Rio. In 2013 her dream became a reality! With the help of her husband and the support of her three daughters Mrs. Rod purchased a building in downtown Del Rio to turn into Rodz Dance Studio. After a fully gutting the building and building from the ground up, Rodz Dance Studio opened it's doors in January 2014.

​​Although Rodz Dance Studio may be Del Rio's newest dance studio, Mrs. Rod has been teaching dance in Del Rio for  over 30 years. Mrs. Rod has the magical teaching abilities to take young ladies and gentlemen who have never danced before and turn them into award winning dancers in only a year!
